Project 2 NMD 200

Simple Media

Digital Fasting Tips

  • Principle: Apply Self-Regulation & Accept Feedback (P4)
  • Skill: UX / service design + reflective media creation
  • Task: Design a “Digital Fasting Toolkit” — a small resource (infographic, digital comic, or 30-45 second video ) that encourages intentional breaks from social media and/or track how it affects mood, focus, or relationships. You may want to also focus on alternative and healthier options. ( eg instead of scrolling TikTok, go visit a friend or join the frisbee game outside your dorm)
  • Why (Portfolio & Career): Shows ability to link media design with user wellness and behavior change. Employers in health, education, and tech sectors value UX prototypes and campaigns that demonstrate both care for users and creativity in problem-solving.
